Network for the Development of Children of African Descent (NdCAD) envisions a place where the African spirit is nurtured and renewed through their mission of strengthening cultural connections within communities of African descent that promote, sustain, and enhance the healthy development of our children.
Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Join us for this inspiring Inter-District Partnership field trip to the NdCAD Center for a tour and insightful presentation.
Whether you were able to attend Part 1 or not, all are welcome to register for Part 2.
Participants will:
- Take a tour of the NdCAD center.
- Examine and explore framework used by NdCAD that helps learners make critical connections between literacy and identity development.
- Be introduced to NdCAD's value-driven educational approach.
- Engage in critical analysis of culturally congruent children's literature that supports healthy cultural identity and academic success.
- Lunch will be provided by NWSISD
- Transportation is not provided by NWSISD
Cost:
- For staff employed by our NWSISD member districts, there is no additional cost to attend this session. The NWSISD member-districts are: Anoka-Hennepin, Brooklyn Center, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Fridley, ISD 728, Osseo, and Rockford.
